Heat Announce New Head Coach for 2019 NPSL Soccer Season

Club is Proud to Welcome Former English Premier League Player & Coach to Laredo

Laredo, TX (Friday, January 11, 2019) – The Laredo Heat Soccer Club, the Gateway City’s National Premier Soccer League’s (NPSL) franchise and 2018 Lone Star Conference Champions are pleased to welcome Aidan Davison as the team’s Head Coach for the 2019 NPSL Season. Davison was officially hired earlier this week and replaces Dana Taylor, who last season led the Heat to an undefeated conference record of 12 – 0 – 0.

While Taylor will not be leading the team this year from the sidelines, he will be a presence within the organization as the Club’s Technical Director, with responsibilities ranging from recruiting to advisor.

Davison brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Laredo, currently he is in Pune, India where he is the Assistant & Goalkeeping Coach a professional team (Pune City F.C.) in the Indian I-League.

In addition to his current coaching responsibilities in India, Coach Aidan had a 22-year professional playing career in England where he played over 400 first team games, including English Premier Football with Bolton Wanderers and Bradford City F.C.

During his playing career, Davison achieved three promotions to the English Premier League (EPL) and English Championship. He played at Wembley Stadium three times and earned European Cup experience with Bradford City F.C., including League Runner-Up and FA Cup quarter-finalist.

Coach Davison also gained full international honors representing Northern Ireland in the World Cup and European Qualifying Campaigns.

During his coaching and managerial career, he coached in the EPL with Hull City and the English Championship with Colchester United. In the U.S., Coach Aidan has managed for over eight years and successfully built two new franchises in Arizona.

He currently holds the UEFA Pro License, which is the highest coaching license in world soccer, the UEFA Goalkeeping License, the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) “A” License and the NSCAA Director of Academy Diploma.

El Club Está Orgulloso de Dar la Bienvenida al Exjugador y Entrenador de la Premier League Inglesa a Laredo

Laredo, TX (Viernes 11 de enero de 2019) - El Laredo Heat Soccer Club, la franquicia de la Liga Premier de Fútbol (NPSL) de Gateway City y los campeones de la Conferencia Lone Star de 2018 se complacen en dar la bienvenida a Aidan Davison como entrenador principal del equipo para la Temporada 2019 NPSL. Davison fue contratado oficialmente a principios de esta semana y reemplaza a Dana Taylor, quien la temporada pasada llevó al Heat a un récord invicto de la conferencia de 12-0-0.

Si bien Taylor no liderará al equipo este año desde la banca, estará presente dentro de la organización como Director Técnico del Club, con responsabilidades que van desde contrataciones hasta asesor.

Davison aporta una gran experiencia y conocimiento a Laredo, actualmente se encuentra en Pune, India, donde es asistente y entrenador de porteros en un equipo profesional (Pune City FC) en la I-League India.

Además de sus actuales responsabilidades como entrenador en la India, el entrenador Aidan tuvo una carrera profesional de 22 años en Inglaterra, donde jugó en más de 400 juegos con el primer equipo, incluido el Fútbol Premier Inglés con Bolton Wanderers y Bradford City F.C.

Durante su carrera como jugador, Davison logró tres promociones a la Liga Premier inglesa (EPL) y al Campeonato Inglés. Jugó en el estadio de Wembley tres veces y obtuvo experiencia en la Copa de Europa con Bradford City F.C., incluido como finalista de la Liga y finalista de la Copa FA.

Actualmente posee la licencia de la UEFA Pro, que es la licencia de entrenamiento más alta en el fútbol mundial, la licencia de porteros de la UEFA, la licencia "A" de la Federación de Fútbol de los Estados Unidos (USSF) y el diploma de Director de Academia de NSCAA.
